Overview:

Fenton oxidation process generates OH with strong oxidation capacity in the presence of Fe+2 under acidic conditions,and triggers more other reactive oxygen species to degrade organic matter.The oxidation process is a chain reaction.The chain begins with the production of OH,while other reactive oxygen species and reaction intermediates form the nodes of the chain,and each reactive oxygen species is consumed and the reaction chain terminates.The reaction mechanism is more complex,these reactive oxygen species only supply organic molecules and mineralize them into inorganic substances such as CO2 and H2O2,OH produced in the reaction is avery active and non-selective species with an oxidation potential of 2.8V,which can cause most of the organic matter in the aqueous solution to be degraded by redox reaction,and promote its cracking and polymerization,so as to effectively reduce the chroma,COD and TOC of the wastewater,and significantly improve the biodegradability of the wastewater.Therefore,Fenton oxidation processhas become one of the important advanced oxidation technologies.

 

Advantages:

01 The reaction starts quickly,the reaction is in an acidic environment,norma temperature and pressure,and the conditions are mild.

02 There is no need to design a complex reaction system,the researchers believe that Fenton reagent has strong oxidizing properties,the reaction process can completely makethe pollutants harmless during the reaction process,and the oxidizing agent H₂O₂,the residueafter participating in the reaction can be decomposed by itself,leaving no residue,but also a good flocculant,with good effect.
